Can I be honest with you for a moment?
Lately, I’ve been reminded that it’s so easy to get discouraged when you’re working hard and not seeing immediate results. Whether you’re building a business, pursuing a new career, going back to school, or simply trying to create a better life, there are moments when you wonder if all the effort is really worth it.
I’ve had those moments too.
As a nurse, doctoral student, entrepreneur, and content creator, I wear many hats. There are days when I feel like I’m pouring everything I have into my dreams, yet the results seem slow to come.
But then I remind myself why I started.
I didn’t start this journey because it was going to be easy.
I started because I knew I was called to something greater.
The Perfect Time Doesn’t Exist
For years, I believed I had to wait until everything lined up perfectly.
More time.
More money.
More confidence.
More experience.
But life has taught me that waiting often becomes another form of fear.
The people we admire didn’t begin because everything was perfect.
They began because they made a decision to take one small step forward.
Small Steps Matter
Every blog post I write…
Every digital product I create…
Every app I’m building…
Every podcast episode I record…
Every class I complete…
It all started with one decision to keep moving.
Those small decisions don’t always feel significant in the moment, but over time they become something much bigger.
They become your story.
Don’t Compare Your Beginning to Someone Else’s Middle
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is to stop comparing my journey to someone else’s highlight reel.
Social media often shows the success but rarely the setbacks.
Behind every accomplishment are countless moments of doubt, failure, learning, and persistence.
Your timeline is your own.
Keep building.
Keep learning.
Keep becoming.
My Message to You Today
If you’ve been waiting for the perfect opportunity, this is your reminder that you don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin.
Take the class.
Start the business.
Write the book.
Apply for the position.
Launch the idea.
Trust God with the outcome while you remain faithful to the work.
Progress will always take you farther than perfection.
