Hey Lovelies,

Let’s talk about leadership — not the polished kind that looks good in a bio, but the kind that gets tested when change hits.

Whether you’re stepping into new shoes, adjusting to someone else taking the lead, or trying to steady the room after everything shifts — leadership changes affect everything. And not just in theory. They affect people. They affect trust. They affect culture.

And if you’re the one leading through it?
You feel all of it.

I’ve lived this. I’ve led in moments when I didn’t have a neat answer. I’ve felt the weight of trying to stay strong for others while feeling uncertain myself. If you’ve ever found yourself in that space — navigating transition and trying to lead well through it — I want you to know: you’re not alone.

Let People Feel What They Feel

Don’t rush people into positivity. Don’t gloss over their real feelings with shallow words. Change hits differently for everyone. Some are grieving. Some are nervous. Some are cautiously hopeful.

Let them feel it. Validate it. That’s not a delay in progress — that’s part of the process.

Presence Over Perfection

You don’t need to have every answer to be a good leader. You just need to show up.

Be present. Be visible. Be steady. People don’t need you to be flawless — they need to know you’re here, you care, and you’re willing to walk through the unknown with them.

Remind Them What Hasn’t Changed

When leadership changes, everything can feel like it’s up in the air — even when it’s not.

So say it clearly:
Our values still matter.
Our mission still stands.
You still belong.

Give people a place to anchor.

Lead Honestly, Not Just Strongly

Real leadership doesn’t fake certainty. It tells the truth and builds trust.

Say things like:
“We’re in a new season.”
“I know this feels like a lot.”
“But I believe we can move forward — together.”

That kind of honesty opens the door for connection. That’s what people follow.

This Is Sacred Work

Lovelies, leadership during change is not just management — it’s ministry.

People are watching how you carry this. How you speak. How you steady others. How you handle your own emotions. And more than anything, they’re watching to see if you still care.

You don’t need to prove yourself. You just need to lead with integrity, empathy, and presence.

Action Step for the Week:
Have one intentional, honest conversation with someone feeling the impact of change.
Ask, “How are you doing — really?”
Then listen. That’s leadership in action.

Change doesn’t cancel your calling. It just clarifies it.
So take a deep breath. Show up with your whole heart.
And lead like the woman you are: grounded, grace-filled, and ready.

You’ve got this — and you’re not leading alone.

With love,
Sharon
