Raising boy sometimes require you to change up your tone of voice. What works for me is bringing out the Jamaican in me, the Jamaican Patois (broken english ). It works really well too. Last night I realized not only did it get his attention, that mommy is serious and you need to act accordingly, when mommy speak but he understood the Patois. I decided to test his knowledge and my little man was translating. Proud mommy here, I only wish I had the camera rolling.
